Yes, we take requests
Prayer is not asking God for what we want or to fix our problems, but rather asking God for what we need. Those two are not always the same. And that’s okay, because when we ask, God will help us make things clearer. As a result, we feel we are supported, carried by a power much bigger than we can imagine. And somehow, things will work out – although often in ways that are different from what we expected.
If you feel you (or someone you know) could use our prayers, simply let us know. Send pastor Hubert your request, together with your name, and we will pray for you. Leave a voice message, send an email, or use the “Contact Us” page.
We will light a candle, bring your prayer request to God and ask God to be actively present in your life the way you need it. We don’t ask it for ourselves, but in Christ’s name. That’s it. We will not judge you or try to convert you. We just want you to be well and be who you are meant to be.
Prayer is a powerful form of outreach we can offer to our community. And so we will make the time and the effort to try do what Christ asked us: to pray continuously in all we do. May we include you?
If you attend our Sunday service, there is a “Prayer Basket”, some blank paper and pens in the hall. Please use it to leave prayer requests. These requests will be added to the Prayers of the People, as we seek to more fully include the concerns of those worshiping.
